local thai delicacies

just a hop, skip and a jump from our hotel room to the local streets filled with the fragrant aromas of thai cuisine.

yup, it's mangosteen. beautiful and sweet and very cheap!

actually that photo is not meat but fried fish cakes (the 4th photo i presume...)

and the fruit in the last photo is purple mangosteen. it's sweet and quite juicy, kinda tastes like a peach with a small pip in the middle.
thumbs-up for this tropical fruit!
