it's 4am and i'm pacing up and down our apartment with a wailing kou-chan in my arms. he's been fed, changed and hugged like you wouldn't believe yet he is still crying...
the books seem to have left out this part in the "what to do now?" section.
mmm, funny that...
and oh my god, in a few hours i have to be up
but glancing at the calendar and i realize that kou-chan is one month old today. talk about time flies!
the changes i've seen in kou-chan during this past month have been pretty amazing.
the last few days he's just figured out that if he puts his tiny fingers into his mouth it feels kinda good. it's a bit of a stab in the dark at the moment as he often ends up poking himself in the face. awww, the joys of trial and error!
he really is growing in leaps and bounds (no, he can't leap or bound just yet) and even though he won't let us get in more than a few hours sleep he brings me so much joy.
this photo is of me holding kou-chan a few days ago.
by the way, that look on his face means "no daddy, i'm not ready to sleep just yet, keep rocking!"

nice picture! too bad we can't see your face! at least we can see the baby's face. he looks kind of angry! lol.
and yeah- time sure flies! it's amazing that he's already one month old! must be very cool to see how quickly he develops.
and don't worry. you'll get some sleep. in a couple of years. haha. :)
i read that babies cry for a few months after birth. no one has really come to know why.
awwww- he is so cute!!
Welcome to the 'no sleep club' daddy. You are now a VIP member.
Keep a box of panadol at home, just pop one when your headache gets real bad from not sleeping enough.
For K-chan, she can't take panadol or any over the counter pain killers since she is nursing but I know there are some for nursing moms that doctors can give out for those rare moments moms HAVE to take or she feels like dying from headaches.
It will get much better in time, not to worry :) it's just not so easy in the beginning.
Many hugs from auntie Pascale to Kou-chan!
he's so precious! :D
your above-mentioned problem is one of the reasons i love being a godmother/aunt, what-have-yous. >:D i love playing and coddling babies, but i love sleep too much too. hahaha.
soon enough, his clothes won't fit! and he'll be running around!

of course my sweet baby wouldn't be angry while being hugged by his adorable daddy! what on earth are you thinking!!
oh yeah, i was gonna show you my face but decided to keep some element of surprise in this blogging world.
thanks for the words of assurance regarding my sleep; or lack of...

you're right about that crying!
i've realized it basically comes down to these four reasons:
1. needs food
2. needs a nappy change
3. needs a hug
4. needs a ****** (yet to figure this one out...)

hey hey hey, slow down. god... don't let me imagine this little bundle of joy running around the house just yet! oh man, just think all the stuff will have to be moved out of reach and all the sharp corners covered with tape...
mmm, i think you would make a super godmother. if you lived close by i would probably be calling you up to babysit!
One month old already? And cuter than ever!
And yes, I know taking care of a small infant ain't easy - had helped my sis with 2 of her 3 kids before - but it's such a passing time cos they grow so fast, you just want to capture this moment in time. :)

yes, everyone told me that i have to make the most of this moment as it flashes by in no time.
he is already trying to hold the bottle himself when i'm feeding him.
it will be no time before we are enjoying a beer together!!
maybe not quite...
ahh! what a cutie!
happy one month old!
