bust boiler

turns out our boiler went bust so today we got a new, a new (don't even know what this is called in english!?), a electronic bath wall controller?
anyway they are pretty common over here.

this new one is basically the same as our old one but there is a lady living in this one who talks to us.
kou-chan thinks this is hilarious and bursts out laughing when she says things like "the bath is now 41 degrees". he then gets a serious look on his face as he tries to figure out how a lady got into such a small contraption.

so glad he's not tall enough yet to fiddle with the buttons!

oh just you wait....just you wait! he is probably having sweet dreams about touching all those buttons and the making the lady inside speak. and think about how much fun it will be saying no or stop and dragging him away....oh about a hundred thousand times unless. its in the bathroom, right? well i guess you can close the door lucky you!(i am currently without a bathroom door)

cute until he starts pushing those buttons and making my bath water either way too hot or near freezing!

you have no bathroom door?
if you were a newlywed that could be a bonus but I think bathroom doors are a necessary.
how did you end up without a door?

well....we bought a home built in 1928 on a half of an acre. So we are slowing trying to redo things...emphasis on the trying. It has virtually come to a stand still with the arrival of our two children. The bathroom is in a drywall state and i really dont care to say for how long as I will become upset with my husband...we also started a homebased nursery business about two years ago. This keeps us ridiculously busy but not enough money to hire someone to finish and my husband insists on doing it himself. He also works full time in los angeles as a business analyst. I would say the bathroom is really our one big bone of contention.married with children totally rocks.

oh there is a curtain though...

1928. wow
I always invision myself doing up an old home with high ceilings and a long driveway. either that or building my own home from scratch. when I say "building" I mean getting someone to build it for me; I'm not the building type but I recon I'd do a fine job of decorating my new home.

does nursery in your neck of the woods mean a place for kids or a place for plants? either way a full time job no doubt.

"oyu ga demasu node, gochui kudasai"
at least with my car navigation system i can choose if i want a female or a male to tell me how to get to my destination and when i should be taking a rest!

haha! i can hear it!!

i hope the mechanics of your bath doesn´t play tricks on you though! cause the gps in the car at work fools me all the time. i end up in all these weird places...

Ah a lady speaking in a strange voice. I get my kicks from translating stuff in English to Mandarin Chinese using Google Translate and then having the Google Lady read them out to me. FUN!! :P

"you end up in funny places" like conviently outside some dodgy store in oslo?
