four seasons

here's a few photos of the view from my apartment.
the last few days have been bliss, low humidity and bright blue sky's. if the temperature was just a tad lower it would be even more divine.
one of the reasons why i chose this apartment was because of the view, and boy this view will never cease to amaze me; every day i awake to a new canvas.

this is what is has been like the past few morning when i'm woken early my my dear child.

then we have the crystal clear nights when the boats anchor under my window to fish for squid.

other days we are shrouded in thick fog and often can't even see the ground below.

one of my all time favorite views is just before a storm rolls in; can really sense the power building up in those storm clouds.

and as with any powerful storm you usually get results.
these last few photos were "lucky" shots as i just happened to click at the right time.
had to add that twister shot in again for good measure!

i've gotta enjoy this view while i can...

Yeah, before-the-storm clouds. Very dynamic and dramatic.

Lucky you. :-)

thanks for stopping by.
my mum is afraid of heights but she said my apartment is not too bad as the view kinda takes away the height aspect of it. i think if we were staring at an other building it would feel that much higher.

What an extraordinary spectrum of weather! And excellent shots of them - usually for me, by the time I find my camera, the moment has passed. :P

spectacular! it must be extraordinary to stand inside your flat and look at the weather change like that. love the pic of the lightning and tornado (?)

i'm on the third floor and all i get to see are some trees :(

well i must admit it was a bit of a mad dash to find the camera for that twister shot but at least the other views were more slow (?!) moving; apart from the lightning which was a fluke shot.

this plan will have to be put on hold (more on that later...) but you may like my back-up plan just as much!

trees are cool; i would be happy with a view of trees.
i'd actually like to put up one of those cameras which take a shot every few minute and see it played back in fast motion. the clouds rolling in would look pretty awesome.
is that too geeky of me?!

ooh! you are making a trip over to the fragrant harbour next year?!
best time of year is november/december when the temp is just nice to walk around outside without breaking into a sweat! (unless you like a super hot summer)
