cebu part I

autumn is in the air but my blog is still stranded back in summer.

here are a few shots from our trip down to cebu island in the philippines.
we spent the majority of our time doing absolutely nothing but swimming, taking afternoon naps and wining and dining at maribago blue water resort on mactan island; which I have to say was the perfect choice of location to chill out with an energetic 2-year old.

it's been a long time since I last took a trip which was all about relaxing. we didn't even do the few touristy things in the guide book which is so not me but I'm actually glad that we decided to drink beer by the pool instead!

I really don't know how you manage to post daily.
are you sure you're not writing up your blog at work?!

I don't have enough hours in the day and it doesn't help having to check Facebook, and all my other bookmarked sites *wink wink*

Oh hey!

So, how was your San Miguel beer? Haha. They have the flavored ones too, being apple and lemon. But I go for the pale pilsen one and the cerveza negra. haha.

Glad you enjoyed Cebu!

I used to drink San Miguel beer in hong kong sometimes but it was nice to finally drink it on its home turf.
after a few days in Cebu we popped into a local supermarket and realized the huge markup we were being charged at the resort and the local store down the road.
but hey, all part of the fun of being a traveller in your wonderful country!

Yeah, resorts usually do that. Especially the nice hotels. But my friend said (she worked in a hotel as a purchaser) that sometimes if they run out of beer, they purchase them at the nearest 7/11. Haha!

By the way, you could try Palawan next time!

yeah, I head that palawan is really nice but this time we just needed somewhere without too much travel.
when kou-chan is a bit older (and can carry his own bag!) we'll try palawan for sure!

To answer your last question above, no - I don't blog at home, only after I get home. Hence the short daily posts. This year I will post less (but hopefully more substantial entries).

Also, before I forget, here's wishing you and your loved ones a Very Happy New Year! May you have a rocking 2013! :D
