Stoneleigh
after thoroughly enjoying my few glasses of wine at bar red, i couldn't hold back and cracked open a bottle of wine which i had been saving for a future planned dinner party.
sh*t.
on my last trip to new zealand a visited some amazing wineries and stocked up on a few bottles of award winning wines.
one of them was this 2007 vintage; stoneleigh rapaura series sauvignon blanc which won a gold award at the 2007 international aromatic wine competition.
i can see why it won too, it was divine!
the stoneleigh winery in marlborough (the north eastern tip of new zealand's south island) is unique in that it's grapes are grown on a former stony riverbed. it is these unique soils that this premium wine takes its name.
so the bottle is now empty.
the dinner party on hold.
i'm just hoping that i can find another bottle of this crisp sauvignon blanc somewhere in hong kong!

HOOK ME UP
* GL
you wanna hook up with me or my bottle of wine?!
I didn't know you are so into wines!
(well guessed when you visited a winery...)
By the way, I had to laugh when I saw the 'I have nothing to read' section.

i love wine! back home it's not uncommon to pop open a bottle with dinner or during a weekend brunch. it's a shame that japanese food and wine don't really match... japanese food and beer on the other hand are a perfect match!
