Not Quite Nabe Time

i keep thinking autumn has finally crept into my world when suddenly summer decides to to come back and confuse us all...
we're experiencing that horrible what-to-wear?! transition stage where it's too cool to wear a t-shirt but too warm to wear a light-knit.
at least the aircon has finally been switched off and the windows can be left wide open without breaking into a sweat.

i think k-chan and i jumped the gun a bit the other night.
we dug out the gas stove and enjoyed a piping hot kimuchi based nabe chockablock with organic vegetables.

nabe (鍋) meals are great autumn/winter warmers, so we really should have waited until the temperature had at least dropped into the low 20s...
our apartment was getting a tad stuffy and i was pretty close to reaching for the aircon remote.
thank god for the cold asahi beer. which by the way is a perfect match with a nabe.
